Peer Mentorship & Tutoring Program Update: Week 11

The Institute for Myanmar United is excited to share an update from week eleven of the Peer Mentorship & Tutoring Program! We are 2/3 of the way through our pilot of the program.

This week we are happy to announce that we have 2 new participants— Zun and Steven. Zun has come to us with the goal of acquiring an electrical technology job while Steven has come for general tutoring.

In addition to our two new participants (which now brings our enrollment up to 10), we also are happy to announce that Maddie has agreed to join us for the foreseeable future as a mentor specializing in ENL services. This week she worked with Thida on her speaking skills in response to her latest goal.

Lastly, we are incredibly pleased to share that Ro has been accepted into the New Visions Engineering Program for high school seniors at Lockheed Martin and therefore has fulfilled his initial goal from earlier in the program. We are so proud of Ro and all of his hard work.

With one month remaining, we are looking forward to continuing the work we are doing with our participants. We also look forward to improving our social media coverage of the program to share additional content with everyone.
