Peer Mentorship & Tutoring Program Update: Week 7

The Institute for Myanmar United is excited to share an update from week seven of the Peer Mentorship & Tutoring Program!

This week we celebrate Jarring for having successfully passed the NYS Teaching Assistant Certification Exam. Jarring has been working as a part of our program for the last month and a half. We are incredibly proud of her hard work look forward to our continued work together.

Additionally, this week we acknowledge Zawkhat. Zawkhat has been working steadily to acquire a job and, after several weeks of preparations, he applied to 4 jobs today!

This week we also witnessed our first example of peer mentorship, as demonstrated by Ro, who helped Ester with her algebra homework.
